Making the Beanie Babies Tag:
Using Cricut Design Space, select the heart shape and size it to 5 inches. You want the tag big enough for people to see that you are a beanie baby for Halloween. Then select a font that is close to the TY font. I found that Birthday Cakes font is close to the TY font. Type a lower case “t” and “y”. Then ungroup the letters and line the t and y, where the t is slightly higher than the y. Once you do that, group the letters together and size it to 3 inches. Make sure your letters will fit in the center of the 5 inch heart. If you need to, make changes to the letters so it fits in the middle of the heart. Cut out the heart in red cardstock and the letters in white cardstock. Glue the letters to the heart and punch a hole in the upper right of the heart. Using a needle and thread, sew on the tag to the ear of the onesie costume.
Adding the TY tag to the onesie really did complete the costume. This was another quick and easy DIY Halloween costume. It also didn’t cost much to make the TY tag. Go to my other DIY Halloween Costumes posts to read more.
